Dreams 2

So this happened maybe two days ago. I had this dream that I was in my classroom but sitting facing away from the students with my co-teacher, an unattractive older woman with a prominent forehead. Actually, the kind of forehead that you would want to lick the palm of your hand and slap the shit out of, forehead. yeah, it's that fucking big.
Anyway, so there we are sitting down at our own desk, together. Uggghhhh, the thought is disgusting. Anyway, we're preparing something for the students and then all of a sudden our hand start moving toward one another's. Her hand was static, and mine was moving, uncontrollably toward hes. I kept trying to pull away but to no avail. At the moment our hands touched, I awoke from the blaring ring-tone on my cellphone. My wife was calling, wanting to know why I was logged off MSN.
What a nightmare.

Dreams 1

Actually this should be titled something completly different, such as Dreams 114. All that aside this is going to be a chronicle or going to chronicle my dreams.
Recently I have been having these dreams that are not connected or disassociated from my relationship with my wife, whom I love very much. I hope the trend does not follow that I am wandering astray from my beautiful wife. Anyway, the first one happened about a month ago when I was with my ex wife. It was rather peculiar and I never really understood what was happening. We did not have sex but I wondered why she appeared in my dream. I haven't made contact with her in quite some time, but I guess there was something my subconscious was trying to tell me.
I think the thing was that I wanted a little more freedom. Freedom from what though. It's not exactly like my wife is a tyrant, although she is controlling at times. Maybe she's controlling because my eyes wander oftentimes. My heart is never far away though. After all I'm going to be a father soon. I can't wait actually.

Okay, so that was the first dream that has started this blog.

Games

Last month I was thinking about getting a PS3 to play Prototype. A new game that is wickedly gruesome and violent. I have since decided not to buy this game because it will be too much of an addiction for me. Instead I will invest my time in learning Korean and trying to become a better speaker.
Work has been good, albeit a little boring lately. The 6th graders did a listening activity last week using They Might Be Giant's "Birhouse In Your Soul". Not surprisingly, most of them actually liked the song. I'm sure that we'll be singing another song before the semester ends and probably at least two more next semester. I'm going to really get them to like TMBG. Shouldn't be too hard though.

What I'm reading.

More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
--This is the second book in a series, "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark," and is second in a three book series that ends with "Scary Stories 3, More Tales to Chill Your Bones." An interesting childrens book based on folklore and myths centered around one theme, "to scare the living dickens out of you and your friends." I enjoy the series extensively, so much so that even though I'm 34 years old, reading them still gives me the chills. This is a great little series for anyone serious about starting to read. These books make a great transition from short childrens books to chapter books and I highly recommend them.

The First Days of School, How to be an Effective Teacher
--A book written by Harry Wong. It's an excellent book for anyone wanting to become a better teacher. I'm enjoying it a lot and believe that it has a lot more valuable stuff in it than I'll ever be able to apply within the sphere of teaching English in Korea, however a real treasure and something every teacher should have.
